This fantastic
double-upper apartment in Edinburgh's Newtown was a great opportunity to provide
amazing accomodation in the heart of Edinburgh.

The
exterior had been completely renovated in a £1 Million update in
1996/7. The roof had also been completely renewed which was excellent.

The
dining room again had the original granite fireplace with all cornices.

sitting room had all the original picture rails, cornices and marble fireplace
along with twin sash windows with working shutters.

The
original bathroom was a sad affair. This was completely gutted and rebuilt.
One nice feature was the roof window which was renewed in the process.

The main feature
of the apartment was the beautiful original internal staircase connecting
the 3rd and 4th floors in the block.

The large kitchen
was one of the main areas to renovate.
